Beijing-Based Italian Chef in Critical Care & Needs Help
One of the members of our small but close-knit community of expatriates here in Beijing is going through a critical time.
Daniele Ferrari, a respected chef at the Bulgari Hotel with Michelin star experience, is fighting for his life after a road accident on Jan 13.
His insurance coverage is not enough to pay for the complex medical procedures he needs to recover, so friends are joining forces under the slogan “TOGETHER for DANIELE” to offer help.
Daniele’s situation is critical; he has sustained multiple injuries and needs continued complex medical treatment.
The expected cost of his medical care is RMB 900,000 - a figure that shows how serious his condition is.
Our community may have shrunk drastically over the past decade, but we’re still able to show amazing acts of compassion and support.

Already RMB 100,000 has poured in since the fundraiser began this week — and every donation no matter how small can make a difference in Daniele’s progress.
More details are in the poster below. It’s time to demonstrate the spirit of friendship and togetherness that characterizes us as an expatriate community in Beijing.
